6994th - Ubon

The Ubon RTAFB, located on the eastern border of Thailand, was the host to Detachment 3 of the 6994^th Security Squadron and eventually the Headquarters, 6994^th SS. Detachment 3 operated out of Ubon from 1 December 1972 until its deactivation on 7 February 1974. Headquarters for the 6994^th SS moved from NKP to Ubon on 29 January 1974 and operated from there until 30 June 1974 when the unit was deactivated.
